Sarah and Erin Whitaker, the girls behind ParkerWhitaker Productions are the sister duo bringing the fashion flavor to the City of Angels. Only a few years apart, these two are the ones behind the scenes at Fashion Week and Film Premieres producing all that Hollywood sparkle. Growing up with a father in the army took these two to new locations every few years. Perhaps that is what makes the sisters so adaptable to the rapidly changing face of fashion and entertainment in LA. “You learn to expect the unexpected and know how to react fast on your feet.” Says Erin Whitaker. The girls are known throughout LA as the two who put on major fashion events each season. Their know-how and expertise has become highly respected and sought after in an industry where if you don’t do the best work you don’t work. After building up one fashion platform after another, this season of LA Fashion Week the girls produced the largest charitable fashion event in LA, Art Hearts Fashion, alongside the platform Founder, Erik Rosete.
While the girls are known around town as the go-to firm for your fashion needs, they have been steadily taking over the film and entertainment industry as well. This January marked the ParkerWhitaker debut at the Sundance Film Festival where the power duo brought several high profile brands to the festival’s hottest destinations, including the Music Lodge with MTV and the Indie Lounge. “There is definitely a creative energy at Sundance, so many talented actors and artists are showing their latest projects, it’s important to be a part of vthat.” Says Sarah Whitaker. An important event it was. The ParkerWhitaker brands had a chance to mingle with Hollywood A-listers like Daniel Radcliff, Chelsea Handler, Justin Long, Anderson Cooper, Bryce Dallas Howard and many more. Sarah and Erin have also been producing film premieres for studios like Lionsgate for several years now, including the Robert De Niro thriller Heist and Bruce Willis’s The Prince. Combining their love of fashion and entertainment, ParkerWhitaker has brought many designers onto hit show America’s Next Top Model and even brought the show to film at fashion week. One thing the ParkerWhitaker girls may take the most pride in is their ability to work with Make A Wish, an organization very close to their hearts. “We’ve had the honor to work with Make A Wish and grant wishes for over 3 years now, it brings something very meaningful and positive to our events.” the girls say. It’s clear that the two bring Los Angeles to the next level when it comes to events and entertainment.
A ParkerWhitaker event is one that guests come to be entertained and leave feeling taken care of. While you may spot the girls, chances are they will be on their headsets making the magic happen and ensuring everything runs smoothly. The sisters stress the importance of teamwork, “We are so proud of the team we have. It’s our PWP squad and there is nothing our members can’t handle.” Says Sarah Whitaker. And of course family, “We are very lucky to have each other, not only to motivate each other forward and bounce ideas off each other, but also to support each other through the ups and downs.” Says Erin Whitaker. Luckily for these CEO’s it seems like they are definitely on the up!
